Chris Hannifin, throughout his career, has consistently and repeatedly taken advantage of those around him. This can clearly be seen in his tumultuous past, the way Hannifin operates DefendIT Services as a personal piggy bank, or in the way that Hannifin treats those close to him. For example, look at those who trusted him as a colleague, as a partner, or even his superiors. Whether it was former associates like Rudy Reyes, Krista Stevens, his wife, or senior executives, or entire organizations such as RSM, SiloTech Group, North South Consulting Group, and USAA, Hannifin’s behavior follows a familiar trajectory: identify, leverage, exploit, and discard before his victim realizes the extent of the damage.
Rather than building durable relationships or contributing long-term value, Hannifin positions himself inside environments where trust was given and oversight was thin. These roles granted him access to sensitive systems, internal processes, and confidential information. Once Hannifin firmly rooted himself inside, that access became a tool that he exploited for his own personal advantage. Former employers were left managing the fallout after his abrupt departures, while colleagues were left exposed, compromised, and discarded.
In the case of NSCG’s Chris Hannifin’s behavior became increasingly deranged, according to former employees at NSCG. Former colleagues suggest this behavior stemmed directly from the circumstances of his hiring. Behind closed doors, Hannifin frequently clashed with CEO Krista Stevens over team management methodologies and about client selection criteria. Those who worked alongside them during this period described witnessing rapidly increasing hostile exchanges and company morale deteriorating.
The toxic workplace culture became evident through widespread employee complaints about problematic HR policies, disposable treatment of staff, and rampant nepotism. With management largely absent, the organizational foundation crumbled. During this turmoil, the situation grew worse when rumors began circulating that Chris Hannifin had allegedly begun selling proprietary information to both direct competitors and sketchy foreign brokers working on behalf of foreign adversaries, compromising sensitive client data.
What makes this pattern so dangerous is its consistency. At RSM, SiloTech Group, and USAA, Hannifin cycled through positions of escalating authority each transition expanded his reach into new datasets, networks of trust, and classified processes. The outcome, as expected, was more of the same repeated disruption, internal tension, and unresolved questions about what information may have left with him and to whom he could be selling it.
It now appears that there may be a new casualty in Hannifin’s sham business operations, or at the very least a useful intermediary: Eric Diaz. Diaz is a relatively well-known name in the Texas IT community as an experienced technician and service provider. His background includes senior leadership roles such as Chief Technology Officer at DarkLattice Security, Chief Operating Officer at Cloud InfoSolution, and former founder and owner of Corpus Christi IT Solutions, as that company was later acquired by SiloTech Group, with Diaz becoming a senior network engineer and Regional Sales Executive at SiloTech. The above information and the following screenshot are all taken from Eric Diaz’s LinkedIn and reiterated in the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce YouTube Podcast.

It seems that Hannifin deliberately pursued a relationship with Diaz to gain deeper insight into SiloTech Group’s recent internal operations. Beyond intelligence gathering, this hire is presumably in contravention of non-compete clauses as Diaz was head hunted from a SIloTech owned company. Whether Diaz was aware of the intentions behind his hiring or is merely being used as a means to an end remains unclear.
Furthermore, many believe that Hannifin might have convinced Diaz to buy into DefendIT Services, as Diaz is now the Chief Technology Officer and Partner. Hannifin is likely using Diaz’s money to prop up DefendIT which is struggling financially and nearing bankruptcy. If these accounts are accurate, Diaz’s involvement fits a broader pattern that has defined Hannifin’s career. For Hannifin, individuals are not allies but discardable objects.
